Texas Tech?

hello.

I moved to lubbock, texas 2 years ago and I’m having a hard time understanding why everyone here in lubbock treats texas tech with such reverence here. I’m an oklahoma sooners fan because I was born in oklahoma and our history is as storied as your going to get in college football. i tend to look at myself as a college football historian and think of myself as a knowledgeable college football fan. but I understand why ou, texas, usc, notre dame, ohio state, alabama, LSU, penn state, michigan, nebraska are considered college football blue bloods. but I have always thought of texas tech as, historically, middle of the road, program. I grew up in new mexico and grew up around tech when spike dykes was head coach, with zebbie lethridge, byron hanspard and zach thomas, on his teams. but everyone in lubbock treats this team like notre freaking dame. the point I’m driving at is, could someone put up a winning percentage list before mike leach took over so I can compare how tech ranks historically, because I see them as a johnny-come-lately program and don’t understand the hoopla. thank you. BOOMER….

Aside from notre dame catching a stray here… TAM is like that too. Every year is “the year!!”

good game, boomers. saturday was a tough watch for this tide fan

yeah, it was touch and go for a few there, but being in the SEC is a bear pit. even the “door mats” (which alabama is not) can be banana peels.

we’ll get to see yall again!
