the title says it all. what’s your ideal scenario for a post season? BCS with the top 2 teams? a playoff with 12 teams? more? less?
we’re in this weird limbo where bowls don’t mean much anymore - would a basketball post season huge tournament make more sense? seems like that’s overkill but also seems like where we’re headed
12 teams is a good number, anywhere in 10-16 range could be reasonable. What needs to be changed is playoff qualification, regular season format, how games are scheduled, who plays who in conference, and just as important the timing of signing day and transfer portal.
really need to get the qualifications figured out for CFP. would be cool to see the last 4 bubble teams do a sudden death to see which 2 get in, but then we’d just argue about the next 4 that got left out…. also agree we’re just headed toward the bowls being less and less impactful
